Point Pod insert
Cut the opening and the insert in one go
The Point Pod top cup takes a disc of your countertop finished to 3.66" (93 mm) and up to 1.18" (30 mm) thick; four adjustment screws help level it.
Our 4" Point Pod hole saw (US$102) cuts the 4" opening and keeps the insert in one cut. Make a trial cut on an offcut first.
Do I need an electrician?
Hubbell units are hardwired and must be installed by a qualified electrician. Point Pod plugs in with its 6 ft cord, but the countertop still needs cutting and the unit needs fitting, and any electrical work, such as adding the GFCI-protected outlet it plugs into, must be done by a licensed electrician.
Will it work in quartz, granite or marble?
Yes. Point Pod's top cup takes a piece of your countertop up to 1.18" (30 mm) thick, finished to 3.66" (93 mm); four adjustment screws help level it. If a matching insert isn't possible, we can supply inserts in a range of colors; contact us for pricing. Hubbell units suit countertops 0.56–2.13" (Dual-Sided) or 0.56–2.50" (Tri-Power) thick.
15A or 20A?
Both Hubbell models come in 15A and 20A versions; choose the one that matches your circuit and have your electrician confirm. Point Pod is rated 15A, 1,875W total. More on 20 amp and GFCI options
Listings, GFCI and code
- Point Pod Connect is ETL Listed for the US to UL 962A and for Canada to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 308. It has no built-in GFCI protection, so its 6 ft cord must plug into a grounded, GFCI-protected receptacle, installed in accordance with NEC 406.5(E) and local codes.
- Hubbell countertop receptacles are cULus Listed receptacle assemblies for kitchen and bathroom countertops, meeting UL listing standards for NEC 406.5(E) countertops, 406.5(F) work surfaces and 406.5(H) seating areas. They are hardwired by a qualified electrician.
- Hubbell units are water-resistant and tested against spills of up to half a gallon. Point Pod is IP44 rated for indoor, dry locations; it helps divert incidental splashes but is not waterproof.
Requirements vary by location, so have your electrician or inspector confirm what applies to your kitchen.

How fast is delivery?

Every product has a two-year warranty, which can be extended to up to four years on eligible purchases (conditions apply). You can return an undamaged product within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies), and exchanges within 30 days have no restocking fee. Policies
