Compatibility

  • SKU: PPHSA
  • Cutting diameter: 102 mm
  • Retained insert: 93 mm
  • Connection: M14 thread
  • Construction: Metal core with a diamond-abrasive cutting rim
  • Maximum cutting depth: Up to 50 mm, depending on the material and equipment

This is the Australian M14 model. The US 5/8-11 model is a separate product.

Before cutting

No arbor or adapter is included. Use compatible professional equipment and follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions. Stone and engineered-surface cutting should be completed by a qualified benchtop fabricator.

Make a trial cut in an offcut of the same material first. Confirm that the 102 mm opening and 93 mm retained insert fit the Point Pod components before cutting the finished benchtop. Cutting results can vary with the equipment, material and cutting method, and minor finishing may still be required.

This cutter is intended for the current 102 mm Point Pod generation. Confirm compatibility before using it with an older 100 mm Point Pod.

Product guide

Purpose-made Australian stone hole saw for planning the Point Pod opening and retained countertop insert together.

Features

Key functions and connections at a glance.

Opening and insert together

Designed around a 102mm opening and an approximately 93mm retained countertop insert for the Point Pod top cup.

Australian M14 connection

The Australian PPHSA version has an M14 thread. The 5/8-11 version is the separate US model.

Diamond-grit cutting rim

The cutting rim is diamond-grit for stone fabrication; it is not a toothed HSS or bi-metal hole saw.

Installation planning

Confirm the stone, cutting method and M14 tool connection before work begins.

Trial cut first

Test in matching off-cut material and check both the opening and retained insert against the actual Point Pod parts.

Confirm equipment compatibility

No arbor or drill adapter is included. Confirm that the stone fabricator's professional coring equipment accepts an M14 threaded tool.

Confirm the cutting method

The countertop professional should confirm material compatibility, coolant requirements and the safest cutting method for the slab.

Important: Countertop cutting should be completed by a suitable stone professional. Make a trial cut in matching off-cut material before cutting the finished countertop.

Specifications

Use these details with the supplied instructions and the rating label on the product.

Cut dimensions

Outside diameter: 102mm. Intended retained insert: approximately 93mm.

Verified scope

Australian thread: M14. One hole saw is supplied. Exact core alloy and maximum cutting depth are not specified here.

Frequently asked questions

Does it include an adapter for a handheld drill?

No. Confirm M14 compatibility with the countertop professional's coring equipment before ordering.

Why is a trial cut important?

The opening and retained insert both need to match the actual Point Pod parts. A trial cut reveals tooling or material variation first.

Who should make the countertop cut?

Use a suitable stone professional who can confirm the cutting method, material compatibility and required clearances.
